Kunstkakkies

The idea to attract attention in a playful way to dog doo nuisance came from the "kakmadames" who are part of "De Bus Kinderkunst". The organization of the project was in hands of Schoolbuurtwerk Westerpark in cooperation with interns from EHVA assigned by stadsdeel Westerpark.

The project was made by children from different schools. The first graders from De Catamaran, Elisabeth Paulusschool and the Brede School Zeeheldenbuurt conducted the entire project. They a festive impression by placing "kunstkakjes" (art-doo) along the route. The group also made some wonderful collages for the exhibition.

The route connects schools and playgrounds and imagines the nuisance of dog doo. The collages and design of "kunstkakjes" are a reflection of the imagination of the children.

And how do youmake sure that the "doo" stays on the street, protected from the elements ?It was not one of the most "fresh" assignments we ever did, but also fake-doo is very projectable with a high-gloss epoxy coating.
